IWA 2:2007 (Quality Management System) - Guidelines for the Application of ISO 9001 in Education
ISO 9001: 2008 is a generic standard for establishing a QMS (Quality Management System). A guidance document, IWA 2:2007 provides guidelines for the application of ISO 9001 in educational organizations.
This one day course intends to re-introduce the principles of QMS and ISO 9001 and present IWA 2:2007 (as a tool to develop customized QMS) to people in the academe. It highlights the needs to improve quality of education with the help of International Standards. The course will end with a workshop which can facilitate in determining priority areas.
This public seminar-workshop on IWA 2 conducted last March 31, 2011 was attended by several Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from different regions.
