ISO 14001:2026 Transition Training for Existing EMS Users: Key changes and Practical Implementation Guidelines

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This one-day online training course is designed for organizations with an existing environmental management system that need to transition from ISO 14001:2015 / Amd 1:2024 to ISO 14001:2026 in a structured, practical, and audit-ready manner. Rather than reteaching the full standard, the course concentrates on the revised and clarified requirements that can drive real EMS updates, document revisions, control enhancements, and audit evidence needs.

Participants will examine the key transition areas that matter most in practice, including environmental conditions in context, risks and opportunities, environmental aspects and impacts, life cycle perspective, potential emergency situations, planning and managing changes, control of externally provided processes, products and services, internal audit objectives, management review inputs, and continual improvement expectations.

The course is designed to help organizations identify what needs to be reviewed, revised, implemented, and evidenced to support a credible and efficient transition to ISO 14001:2026 in a practical way.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

1. Explain the key revised, clarified, and restructured requirements in ISO 14001:2026 and their implications for an existing EMS.
2. Determine which EMS processes, controls, registers, and documented information need to be reviewed or updated for transition.
3. Apply the revised expectations to context, interested parties, risks and opportunities, environmental aspects and impacts, and life cycle perspective.
4. Evaluate how the broader treatment of potential emergency situations and change management affects EMS planning and operational control.
